Salt Lake has a vibrant, thriving LGBTQ+ community and plenty of inclusive places to visit. There are many great attractions and activities to enjoy, and Salt Lake has plenty inclusive places to visit.

Transportation: With destinations across the city and up into the mountains, we recommend access to a car for this itinerary.

Day 1: Exploring the City

Breakfast: Publik Kitchen

Start your day with a delicious morning treat at Publik Coffee, a trendy spot that offers a variety of breakfast options, from hearty dishes to vegan delights.

Morning: Utah Pride Center

Head to the Utah Pride Center, the hub of LGBTQ+ resources and activities in Salt Lake City. Even if there isn’t a specific event, the center often has art exhibits and resources you can explore to learn more about the local LGBTQ+ community.

Lunch: Laziz Kitchen

912 S Jefferson Street
Enjoy a delightful Mediterranean lunch at Laziz Kitchen. LGBTQ-owned, the restaurant is known for its diverse menu and delightful atmosphere.

Afternoon: 9th & 9th District

900 E 900 S (Harvey Milk Boulevard)
Stroll through the trendy 9th & 9th section of town, known for its unique shops, boutiques, eateries, and art galleries. Check out the outdoor life-sized whale sculpture “Out of the Blue” while you’re there.

Dinner: Avenues Proper

Located in the Avenues neighborhood, Avenues Proper has been a local neighborhood brewery since 2013. Upscale, locally sourced, and house-made dishes pair with an extensive beer menu.

 

Evening: Drag Scene

Multiple Locations
Salt Lake City has a vibrant drag scene. Check out local LGBTQ+ and gay-friendly bars like Why Kiki, Club Try-Angles, and Bar-X for drag shows and other events. Be sure to check their schedules in advance.

Day 2: Outdoor Adventures

Breakfast: Gourmandise Bakery

Fuel up for your day with pastries and coffee at Gourmandise, a European-style bakery that has been recognized many times as one of the best bakeries in the city and state.

Lunch: Silver Fork Lodge

Enjoy a mountain-style meal at Silver Fork Lodge, with a unique, woodsy atmosphere and outstanding views of the surrounding mountains.

Afternoon: Tracy Aviary

Stroll through the beautiful Tracy Aviary located in a beautiful city park and enjoy the company of a remarkable number of bird species.

Dinner: Takashi

Have dinner at Takashi, one of Salt Lake's top sushi restaurants. Their creative sushi rolls and Japanese dishes are a must-try.  

Evening: Eccles Theater

Check the schedule for performances at the Eccles Theater, a 2,500-seat high end theater that hosts touring Broadway shows, concerts, comedy, and more.

Day 3: Cultural Exploration

End your night with a nightcap at The Sun Trapp, the oldest operating LGBTQ+ bar in Salt Lake City. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, signature cocktails, and perhaps even some dancing.
